Sugar and Gluten are the biggest detriment to your health

Everyone can agree that sugar is not necessary for health. Most everyone can agree that it is bad for you in large quantities. What they can’t agree is, what is considered a large quantity?, and what is a reasonable amount? Our position is that sugar is an addictive poison and should be avoided at all costs. Furthermore, wheat and simple starches, which convert to sugar and contain gluten, should also be avoided. This is because 12% of the population reacts violently to gluten, while many others suffer from a less severe negative reaction.

As bad as cigarettes are, sugar and gluten have emerged as our greatest public health threat. Your sugar levels, and indirectly your insulin levels can have a strongly adverse effect on you and your health. An in-depth, detailed writing on the issues with gluten are covered in a book called “Wheat Belly” by Davis.

Importance of Exercise

Additionally, it is important to exercise every week. While there are an overwhelming number of fitness guides, books, videos, and trends telling you how to exercise properly, we have found that by eating properly and understanding how to exercise properly, you can do approximately 15 minutes of exercise a week to maintain a high level of fitness. This 15 minutes a week is only possible after understanding how to properly do specific exercises that will maximize your results. You may think it sounds absurd or unbelievable, but we practice what we preach. Dr. Lavitan and his family follow the recommended exercise plans that are discussed in detail in the book “Body by Science,” by McGuff and also see a Body by Science certified personal trainer.
