Respiratory Aids

1. Raise the temperature locally of the chest. Use a hot water bottle with the water warm but not hot.

2. Vaporizer or humidifier. Empty and clean the water every day. Use soap and water to remove all germs, before you potentially make them air born and dangerous.

3. The throat and esophagus can be coated to dampen the cough reflex. Honey is often used prefer, with Tupelo being my favorite, as it is least likely to spike your blood sugar. Aloe Vera is effective as other demulcent herbs.

4. Put a table spoon of apple cider vinegar (unpasteurized and unfiltered) in a pot of water. Bring to a boil and let steep. Then indirectly breath the vapors. Be sure not to burn yourself.
5. Natural antihistamines such as Antronex are effective, and/or the herb Albizia, and Spanish Black Radish for drainage.

6. Herbs that cause perspiration called Diaphoretics can be used to help break fevers. These should be taken in hot beverages and can be enhanced by dressing warmly.

These will help control germs and break up mucus in a natural way.
